Janet graduated with a Contemporary Photography degree in 1997 and continues to produce topical work from heavy subject matters.
Janet grew up on the border in Northern Ireland and has a very diplomatic view of the 'troubles'. She believes she was lucky to have the upbringing she did - growing up in a non-sectarian area and going to a mixed school. This is reflected throughout her work. Her empathy with the subject matter stems from a very personal experience.
Janet currently lives and works in London as a Project Manager in the advertising industry. She continues to explore her own photographic art practice.
"By surrounding myself with creative people I have great opportunities to discuss my ideas. I also gain much respect and support from my colleagues, and because I work with lots of people from very different backgrounds it’s wonderful to get a range of different thoughts on topical projects".
